How You Can Be More Like Chris Pratt

19th May 2017

Guardian of the galaxy, raptor trainer, cowboy and just downright LOLs guy, Chris Pratt is most probably the coolest man on the planet right now. If you’re like us, you’re wanting to be more like him, because you’re sick of waking up early and not being a millionaire superhero. We can’t really help you get his bank balance and have madcap adventures with a CGI racoon, but we can help you achieve some of his traits.

Know How To Wear A Suit

It’s not just a case of putting on a black blazer with a white shirt and boring tie. Literal corpses can do that. You’ve got to know how to pick the right size, experiment with patterned shirts like gingham, and be bold with your textures like knitted ties.

Be Comfortable With Your Body

Chris Pratt isn’t your regular Hollywood lead, as when he’s not filming a big blockbuster he prefers to kick back with pizza and beer rather than religiously hitting the gym. He’s even went as far to say his wife Anna Faris preferred him fat in a GQ interview. ‘I was like a great fat guy, I think outwardly I was having more fun. I was more fun to be around, probably…I think Anna is hedging her bets that one day I’ll be fat again, and she’ll say, “Remember, honey, I always told you I preferred you this way.”

But Also Be Able To Get Those Gains When Needed

When he needs to bulk up for a role, Pratt can absolutely smash it. ‘He isn’t the client you have to push; he’s the type of client you have to pull down,’ said personal trainer Duffy Gaver to Men’s Fitness. ‘If you were to walk into the gym when he was training, you would have thought for sure you’ve got a guy getting ready for the NFL Combine.’ In the space of 5 months Pratt went from a maximum of 7 pull-ups to 30 and his deadlift went from 225 to 315, as well as dropping 25kg by working out around 5 times a week doing lat pull downs, dumbbell rows, barbell curls and ab circuits.

Be Absolutely Hilarious

OK, this isn’t an easy one to achieve, but we think acting completely clueless in everyday situations and being a bit cheeky should just about do it. It might get you sacked from your job, but if you are committed to becoming like the all mighty Chris Pratt it’s just a sacrifice you’re going to have to make.

Have A Brilliantly Weird Relationship

Look at them. We hate this millennial phrase, but they are absolute goals. The key to their happiness? They’re so weird. It’s not all pet names and cuddles. She said that she knew they were meant to be when she found out he also had a collection of dead bugs just like her. She also openly talks about his balls: ‘Have you seen my husband’s balls? . . . They’re incredible. You would remember, because they are some sexy balls . . . They’re perfect.’
